Many consumers in the United States all have the same question, “How Can I Eliminate Credit Card Debt?” This is a great question seeing that Americans are currently in trillions of dollars of debt. No one likes being in debt and the way that banks and creditors are dealing out debt has caused great amounts of damage to families all around the country.
The problem with trying to eliminate credit card debt is that banks and creditors do not want to you to find out how to eliminate your debt. Banks and creditors want you to stay in debt and even sink deeper into dept so they can make more off your monthly payments. Because of this, banks and creditors will intimidate their customers into continuing to make payments, while knowing fully that these payments and requirements will in most cases destroy families and lives.
This intimidation from banks and creditors often scares consumers away from the idea that they do not want to make payments. This locks consumers into extremely long and costly payment plans that can drag on for decades.
Some consumers end up finding debt consolidation firms that offer enticing deals that involve making only one monthly payment for a lower interest rate. These firms can be quite appealing when a consumer is used to dealing with outrageously high interest rates and a confusing number of payments to different creditors. At the end of the day however, going through a debt consolidation firm or agency will result in years of payments. Granted these payments are not to your bank or creditor anymore, but a payment is a payment nonetheless.
If I were to make a suggestion from my experience in the debt and collection world, I would strongly suggest eliminating debt altogether. What I mean by this is making the decision that you are not going to pay your creditor on their incredibly ridiculous terms.
Before making this decision I would also suggest performing some research and finding out what kind of process you will need to go through to eliminate your credit card debt by not paying. This process can be difficult and stressful and is definitely not a walk in the park. That being said, neither is making credit card payments for thirty years!
Just like there are firms or agencies that help consumers consolidate debt, there are other firms or agencies that help consumers eliminate debt. These firms are harder to find but making an effort to get professional help can make all the difference. Debt elimination firms are not free of charge, but the payments made to them for help are always significantly less than the payments made on a monthly basis to your creditor.
You may be wondering how on earth you can simply stop making payments on your credit card balance and get away with it. I don’t blame you for asking this, but the fact of the matter is that your bank is not as trustworthy as it seems.
Banks and creditors often participate in unethical and illegal practices in their treatment of debtors. These practices can be exposed with the help of a debt elimination firm or agency. Once these unethical and illegal practices are exposed, your contract will often become invalid, freeing you from obligations to pay.
I feel strongly that no one should have to put up with the abuse and poor treatment than runs rampant in the credit and banking industry. You should get as much information and help as possible and then you will know the answer to your question; how can I eliminate credit card debt? This will allow you to eliminate your debt completely.
